Anyway, I think I do agree with the points raised in this post. So, QFT.

Re: GURPS Horror for 4th ed = Ken Hite
One tiny little nitpick about your sig, Demonsbane. The quote ""Let's face it: for some people, roleplaying is a serious challenge, a life-or-death struggle" that you've attributed to Kenneth Hite is not actually a Kenneth Hite quote; it's from the second edition of GURPS Horror, p. 22, and was written by either J.M. Caparula or most likely Sarah Link, who wrote most of chapter 2. The only reason why the quote is in Kenneth Hite's third edition of GURPS Horror is that some of the text from the previous editions was carried over.

Re: GURPS Horror for 4th ed = Ken Hite
No problem. Actually, thank you for the info. I don't know GURPS Horror 2 ed, so I assumed the phrase was of Mr. Hite.
What should I put instead? J.M Caparula & Sarah Link? GURPS Horror 2 ed? If it isn't very clear I may leave the signature unmodified.

Re: GURPS Horror for 4th ed = Ken Hite
I look forward to a 4th Edition of Horror. I likely will pick it up. Now that I hear that the Madness Dossier is being pulled from the 3rd Edition to become a pdf... well, it just reinforces my desire to get a laptop so I can start getting into e23.

Though, if they were going to pad out the space, they could include a lot of Monsters and whatever actually got made for Dark Places.

Re: GURPS Horror for 4th ed = Ken Hite
I am so glad I found this post, I hadn't heard anything about a GURPS Horror 4e. I have been looking at GURPS Horror 3e with the intent to try and convert, this is great news!
I'd pre-order right now if I could, thank you SJG and Ken Hite! |

Re: GURPS Horror for 4th ed = Ken Hite
D & D gets a 200 page color hardcover a month. Mongoose Traveller gets a Hardcover book every sixty days.
I'd like to see a Black Ops hardcover, a Steampunk hardcover, a couple of WW2 hardcovers, and of course a Cliffhangers and Cyberpunk hardcovers. Of course, we can buy D20 hardcovers of these books and convert to Gurps and I actually know people who do that. |
