Midas Potion one monster
I am fighting a level 2 monster. Opponent plays a +5 Undead, so I am not beating it. I play a +10 and another +5 on it, then play Midas Potion. Noone else uses a Wandering Monster Card so the combat is over. Should I get the 6 treasures but no level from the Midas Potion?

Re: Midas Potion one monster
So even if you are losing to the monster and play midas potion you still get the treasures?

Re: Midas Potion one monster
You've defeated the Monster (or using the card's language "won the combat") by removing the Monster from combat by turning it into a gold statue and not having to Run Away from it, so your combat strength prior to playing the card that removed it has no bearing unless the card says otherwise. In this case, Midas Potion very specifically says what to do with those few words: Discard the Monster (or at least set it aside so you have the details for later), and if it's alone or you defeat any remaining Monsters, you get its Treasure but no level reward for that Monster. Nowhere on the card does it say anything about having to be beating the Monster before the card was played to get the Treasure reward for that Monster.
