Transhuman Folk
Here are a few background NPC's for filling out a transhumanist world, built using the guidelines of 50 to 75 points.
The inspiration for the characters comes from various places in the book lores, and attempts to give them templates and resources appropriate to their origins. It would be nice to expand this into a full "Transhumanist Folk" resource for generating NPCs, a la Historical Folk, but I'm not sure I have the energy for such a project. |

Re: Transhuman Folk
Roth is a freelance botboss hailing from Berlin, more competent at his trade than many of his peers. Much of this talent is a reflection of his single mindedness; Roth puts work above all other pursuits. Predictably, his limited focus earns him a comfortable lifestyle at the cost of a short temper. His workshop is in a nicer part of town; he spends much of his time there tinkering with (an talking to) his robots.

Re: Transhuman Folk
Wang lives on the surface of Mars with the help of the Andraste and Ruanmo gene-mods, and makes a living by prospecting the surface for the water and mineral resources. Bright but naturally shy, the bear-like man lives a solitary existence, fusing the memetic influences of minimalism, Taoism and Mars as Heaven into his personal philosophy. He hopes to one day join the ranks of the trucker's guild, so his ghost can wander Mars for centuries
Unfortunately for Wang, his ticket to Mars, contract and gene mods were paid for by Zijin Mining Group Company Limited, a Chinese mining concern. Until he pays off his debt, his life is not his own. Re: Transhuman Folk
NPCs roughed out (or even more refined) are a good resource. Thanks for starting Transhuman Folk, Tangoroa.
