Source? Live in Fear. Work Hard. Reproduce.

Very funny, Mr. Fnord.

It's from Psionic Powers.

You have to put something to pad it out to 10 characters. I figured I might as well use the fnord as intended.

Of course that requires that the character have ESP, and still requires that the character look at the source.

My character used Exposition Sense on the basis of Probability Manipulation. It wasn't ESP - he just was very lucky. He'd open a book at random and always end up where he needed to be in the text. I'm sure there are other possible sources.

Regardless the psionic perks all require that one have at least a level of Power Talent and that perk doesn't let the character read by touch.

I don't see a timing issue with the way Rev constructed the ability. The ModAb allows for active use in-game, despite the description of it as an Unusual Background. The cost seems low to me, though... something closer to what he assesses the value of the "memorized" version as feels more right. JMO

Hmmm... I suppose that it does. It seems kind of a backwards way to get there though.

Player: While we are in the office I make sure I touch the ledger surreptitiously.
GM: Okay. (Rolls contest of Slight of Hand versus Vision).
later...
Player: I reconfigure my "Well Read" perk to include that ledger I touched in the office and roll Accounting to try to find a clue.
GM: Ok.
