Can Control (Super-Effort) be combind with Power Block for an enhanced power level block?

I'm assuming you're asking whether Extra-Effort and Power Defense can be used at the same time? If so, I don't see why not since Power Defense is just a way to let you effect an object whether or not it is attacking you.

If they can be combines it will result in a Power Block of DR 100 instead of 10. |

Ah, got it, I had forgotten about that enhancement. Can you use the Super-Effort on Lifting ST to lift a truck out of a ditch to block a laser beam?

I'm not sure What Lift ST would be sued for, but maybe. |

Re: [Supers/Powers] Super-Effort and Power Block
The reason I bring it up is that if it works for Lifting ST then it ought to work for Control, but I don't know whether the descriptor for Super-Effort limits its use in some way I don't know about that might change that--I have Powers, but not Supers, so I'm just extrapolating.

Re: [Supers/Powers] Super-Effort and Power Block
I just checked for other places where Super-Effort shows up in Powers, and found that, for Telekinesis, it doesn't effect damage, therefore it wouldn't effect Power Block for Telekinesis. Perhaps it takes the whole second to lift/alter a mass/area with Super-Effort?

The thing is Power Block explicatively mention Defending abilities and abilities like Control and Obscure, But ST, and TK (which is really only remote ST) isn't normally considered a defending ability. Last edited by roguebfl; 11-03-2010 at 11:35 PM. |

Erring on the side of defense, when it's situational and costs fatigue, is always a good idea.
