Will Not Pursue

If I am using the Tuba of Charm (+3 to run away, 1 facedown treasure if you succeed) and fight against a creature that will not pursue me (hence escape is automatic) do I still roll the die?

If the escape is automatic you don't get to roll the die, so no Tuba of Charm face down Treasure in that situation.

Wrong. You successfully escaped, so you do get a face-down Treasure.
