Default How much would rads cost?

What if a character wanted (or in my case as a GM, needed) to start out with rads, how much would that be worth in CP?

I'm running a campaign where radiation hotspots are infrequent but not uncommon and I want my characters to have some rads. The exact amount is really up to them, so I want a points value attached to rads.

Any suggestions on the value of a rad? I can't find anything in the books I have.

So you want your character to have started out with some permanent radiation exposure? Since the effects of accumulated radiation is a penalty to the health roll to resist I suggest the susceptible disadvantage; radiation sounds to be common in your campaign so Susceptible (Radiation) is -2/level. The level of Susceptible corresponds to the health penalty on page 436. 41-80 rads would give a single level and so on.

If the character has accumulated a unhealable exposure of 1-40 rads, this is probably a good Physical Quirk.
