This would give it a different feel but you can run Star Wars as a TL7 game. An X-Wing vs a Tie-Fighter is similar to a P-51 vs a Zero, blasters don't seem much different from cinematic guns and the original trilogy didn't have a lot of high concept future tech. It'll run much closer to the OT than to the prequels or the EU but all you need to do is a little reskinning.

There are some action figures for that, by Sillof. You'd need to change a couple to stay TL7, like the droids and Chewbacca perhaps being more like they are in Sillof's West Wars, but it works.
