Wand of Dowsing

When using Wand of Dowsing can you choose either the Door discards or the Treasure discards? Also, if you can choose either Discard pile, can you select one pile and then after looking through them decide to pick a card from the other pile?

It says to go through the discards, but it does not specify a specific pile, so you don't need to do so, either. So, it's one card from either pile. I would suggest not taking forever in your searching, however. It could prove vexing to the other players and then you'll find them plotting your demise. . .

Thanks for clearing this up! I often had a question about that when I used it, but normally just picked a treasure card to avoid arguments.

Quick tip to other players: Use the Wand of Dowsing along with the Duck of Too Many Things allows for an easy way to gain a few levels. You have to discard two cards everytime, but hey two to three levels are worth it!

There are ways for others to break the combo, though. Performing any Class ability that requires a discard, cursing you or someone else to lose an Item, discarding a Hireling, or playing a Go Up a Level card are all ways they could bury your Wand of Dowsing.
