Combat clarification
Last night my wife and I played this Munchkin Quest board game with our kids. I found myself struggling to fully understand how combat is done, so I figure I'll post my questions here and hopefully get it straightened out before our next attempt.
1) Is combat done in rounds? If you lose or tie the combat and flip one red health token over, can you choose to try the combat again (go another round) or do you HAVE to run away? The last sentence on Page 9 says "Survivors now try to Run Away" which makes it seem like running away is mandatory. 2) Running away - rolling to run away (Page 10) if I read it correctly, you always move to your chosen room no matter what the Run Away roll result is (unless you die). The Run Away roll result determines only if you get hit with bad stuff or not, and does not determine whether or not you make it out of the room. Is that right? 3) Multiple monsters - I need clarification. Do you roll against each monster in the room separately, or do you roll for all the monsters and combine their totals together? If the latter is correct, then is it always the case that all the monsters die (if you win) or none of them do (if you lose)? 4) Monster movement - On page 14, for the lame goblin movement, what if there was a player at (3) that does not own the goblin. Does the goblin just pass through to (4) completely ignoring the player? On page 13 it seems to indicate under Gotcha! that a monster will stop in a room with a player in it only if that player owns the monster. 5) Monster buff / de-buffs - can you use monster buff de-buff cards on monsters that you do not own? |

Monster enhancers (the game term for buff/debuff cards) may be played on anyone's monster by any player.
