Re: Crushroom (illustration or mini)
Would a fbx be better? That's another interchange format I rely on, and I think I've heard unity engine likes it.

Re: Crushroom (illustration or mini)
Thanks for all the descriptive suggestions and links, especially Bruno for going to the effort of rendering one!
I use paper minis exclusively, and while there are suitable third party alternatives to cardboard heroes, other publishers obviously don't have an approximation for every DF monster. If SJG did more cardboard heroes I would definitely buy them. My pref is for the original cardboard sheets rather than the DFRPG minis. The hex bases are cool but aren't as flexible as a smaller more generic stand, and the DFRPG minis are too thick for most third-party bases (necessary if more than 12 combatants at once). That said I would buy more new/unique cardboard heroes in either format from SJG. |

Re: Crushroom (illustration or mini)
Since raising this thread, I went on to draw my own Crushrooms, along with other large toadstools of the less mobile variety (image posted on blog here).
Thanks again for the suggestions and inspiration!
