Default Tooniversal Inspirations?

I have all the Toon RPG books. I love the game... escapism from the normal (?) game. But I'm wondering about some of the sources/game that were inspirations for some of the chapters in the book Tooniversal.

Some are quite obvious. The ones I'm not sure of... and would like to learn more of... are Atomic Monster Theater, Mektoon, and Supertoon. I realize Mektoon was thought up from Mekton... but which edition of that game? Atomic Monster Theater - was this inspired from a game or the movie genre? If game which one? Supertoon - which game?

I suspect that Atomic Monster Theatre was mostly from the films, with a little influence from GURPS Atomic Horror.

Mekton Zeta was the current edition when Tooniversal was released. Mektoon and Supertoon are making fun of the genre.
