unguided bomb attack?
I am wondering how one would go about making a innate attack that works like a dropped unguided bomb?

Re: unguided bomb attack?
Probably best to define that a bit before starting on the power build.
What you seem to be wanting is a large explosion with fragmentation damage. It is aimed at a hex, but must be expected to miss that by some distance, up to hundreds of yards. It also has a delay in arriving, but this might be a few seconds, or up to hours if you wanted. An attack like this isn't very useful in personal combat, but can be quite effective, if rather random, on buildings or large encampments. Does that match what you wanted? If not, what should be different?

Re: unguided bomb attack?
Untrainable, -40% would give a max skill of 10. I hope that helps.

Re: unguided bomb attack?
What I'm really not sure on is range, and how that would be done. its not a thrown or shot attack, just a dumb bomb dropped above the target.

Re: unguided bomb attack?
You definitely need the Overhead enhancement. Use Delay to have the bomb take time to reach its target, giving anybody paying attention to the incoming murder to run away.

when you are already above the target, as the magical fighter drone thing I'm building would be, I don't believe you need overhead.

Re: unguided bomb attack?
Overhead allows you to drop the bomb from the ground. If you can only use this attack while already flying, replace Overhead with Accessibility: Only While Flying.

Re: unguided bomb attack?
How about this build....
Innate Attack 10d6 (Accessibility, Only when placed on a bomb, -30%; Explosion, +50%; Melee Attack, Raech C, -30%; Variable Delay, +10%; +0%) [50] So you place the attack on your bomb, set the timer up to 10 seconds and drop it. It then explodes, centered on the object.

Re: unguided bomb attack?
If they already have bombs, why don't they just drop those?
I am pretty sure the OP wants an attack that makes bombs. I would just do an innate attack with Explosion; Melee Attack, Reach C, No Parry, and Triggered Delay, Impact. As a feature it can use Dropping instead of Innate Attack. Last edited by sir_pudding; 01-18-2018 at 10:35 AM. |

Re: unguided bomb attack?
I think all you need is to give a ranged attack a really short range. The rules already cover shooting downwards extending your range.
