HeroMachine, the next generation?
Something perhaps of general interest: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ep...ator/x/2155883
It's a crowdfunding campaign for a character image generator in the making, and I think it deserves a chance - thus presented for your consideration :-)

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
I'm not sure about the (only) pose for female characters, but I may look it over once some other projects wrap up and I have more free time.

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
It is also annoying that all the examples show scantily clad women. Can I use it to make a woman in plate harness? Also is it only medieval to renaissance fantasy? What about other game genres?

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
I like the idea of making a fantasy-oriented counterpart to Hero Machine. I do not like the sexual pose for females.

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
Er... I wouldn't qualify any of those woman as scantily clad. There's precisely two showing any cleavage at all, three showing considerable shoulder, and the rest are pretty much covered from head to toe.

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
I only think the lilac coloured woman in the gallery qualifies as scantly clad. While some of the rest are not properly armoured, that is to be expected since all PCs don't wear armour. Though they certainly did put a lot of cleavage on the front page (the gallery has examples of more sensible adventuring clothing).

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
Don't take this as a criticism, merely a rhetorical observation; but up to this point how many of us posting on this thread are heterosexual males? (I include myself in this category).

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
^Not I. And I'm bothered by that female pose... though the sample females don't seem any less armored than many of the males.
I'll continue to use Hero Machine for female characters who aren't trying to be seductive.

Re: HeroMachine, the next generation?
A Baphomet, two cats, a mongoose, a metal golem of some sort and a giant intelligent spiderbot. I don't think we're supposed to be all that impressed by her/their upper '90'.
The changeling is male, though. Last edited by vicky_molokh; 04-18-2013 at 09:17 AM. |
