GURPS: Fallout
Or, my baby for the last month. This is (as far as I know) the most complete conversion for ANY system. Features include:
Full background information, racial templates, equipment lists, etc. utilizing information from Fallout 1,2,3, Van Buren, and Tactics (I chose not to include Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, as most Fallout fans concider it a steaming pile of dung, and non-canon to boot). Conversion information from SPECIAL to GURPS. A full bestiary, including robots. Get it here. |

Re: GURPS: Fallout
Thanks. I know a bunch of gamers who also enjoyed Fallout... has there been any playtesting, and if so, how did it go?

Re: GURPS: Fallout
No playtesting as of yet. To be honest, I went ahead and uploaded it about an hour after I fiished putting it all together. I've already run across 2 or 3 minor editing mistakes... nothing that should affect play, but annoying just the same.

Re: GURPS: Fallout
Being someone who wrote an rpg, I can assure you that you will still be finding little editing mistakes a year from now :) That's why the professionals have professional editors!
Don't worry about it, it's an excellent product.

Re: GURPS: Fallout
Skimmed it through, and I have to say, looks very nice! I've toyed with the idea of Fallout campaign for several years now, this one could very well make me finally stop toying and start writing.
Good work!

Re: GURPS: Fallout
The only question I have* is what are the number/letter codes on the maps. Some are easy enough to guess, 1-3 being the first through third numbered games, T being Tactics. I'm guessing B is the console Brotherhood of Steel game, but what is V?
As a side note I find it interesting to see that I live within walking distance (couple of days anyway) of Burham Springs on that map. *Also assuming that I probably missed the listing during my quick skim through. Edit: Just did a search and found out, thanks.

Re: GURPS: Fallout
Hi,
I think it's a bit queer that a a typical robobrain is as intelligent as a human genius and has at the same time way more will. (IQ 15 and Will 20) The most other Will-Stats are a bit high, too. Why has *every* (but 2 or 3 ;) ) being more will then the average human? Markus PS: Your work looks really great! |
