I might be missing something, but are there no rules for how long pain lasts in Conditional Injury? Is it just until healed?

I didn't really think that beyond "what's your wound severity, and it takes X days until it gets better."

For my own self, I suffered a "crippling" injury to my left foot three years ago. I got caught in an explosion and my left heel broke into six pieces . . . the surgeon was able to screw five of them back together.

It still hurts. I'm just used to it.

Yup, pain is conditional.

But in gurps terms, agony consume FP fast, so you'll will be dead much sooner that your wound heal.

Hmm. I didn't remember that. Now what? How can we fix this ?

Where are you getting this idea from?

From Basic Set:

High Pain Threshold lets you overcome the agony enough to function, but at -3 to DX and IQ.

Personally I'd suggest that Agony cannot cause HP loss, so one simply slips into unconsciousness that cannot be recovered from until the wound and pain severity decrease.

I love the idea of the Fifth Attribute, but one of my players asked a question about it that we've already had to house rule.

He wants to split his Quintessence, having little active power, but a high resistance.

So this is what we came up with;

Active Quintessence: 4pts/+1
For purposes of active supernatural abilities you quintessence is counted as one higher per rank.

Resistant Quintessence: 3pts/+1
For purposes of resisting supernatural abilities you quintessence is counted as one higher per rank.

Admittedly the descriptions could be better but you get the idea.

Opus Longa, Pugna Brevis - Life Is A Battlefield
This is something I'll likely be putting to use as soon as I can (I'm moving to a new state). All I need is some specialized combat cards and I'll be set.

Describing Vehicles
Always nice to have a solid guide to refer to. I'm always worried I'm being too generous or stingy when converting things.

The Fifth Attribute
I like the idea of combining all these systems under the QN attribute, I'll have to play around with it. One of those articles I'd put in my GURPS-only time machine to present before the Basic Set was finished.

Conditional Injury
I'm left wondering if I can combine this with Armor as Dice (Pyramid 3/34) to make injury determination blazing fast.

Fluid Skills
I'm not entirely sure what to do with this. I need to think on it more.

Quick Additional note:
In GURPS Spaceships, an SM +5 ship has an Robustness Threshold of 12 and each +1 SM adds +1 RT. Might be fun to tinker with that and see if it changes the balance of power.
