Re: Energy Spells & Electricity
Technomancer is a setting for GURPS that came out back in the 3rd edition days. It's an alternate history, set in modern-day Earth, but one where the atomic test in 1944 returned magic to the world, and now magic and technology work together to boost people's lives and skills. If you're interested, you can get the original book and the most recent Pyramid issue, which updates some of the stuff to 4th edition, and provides guidelines for playing in Technomancer using either the Monster Hunters or Action frameworks.
"RAW" is short for "Rules as Written", and generally means the rules as they appear in a published book, rather than house rules. |

Re: Energy Spells & Electricity
To play in the setting specifically? I'd say yes, get the original book. What the Pyramid issue does is convert some mechanics, and provides some new setting material, but that's not going to make much sense if you don't have the original to reference. Fortunately, the Technomancer book is pretty cheap - in fact it's cheaper (by a whole $0.01!) than the Pyramid issue.

Re: Energy Spells & Electricity
I saw the prices on them. I was just wondering if the Pyramid book covered all the bases to work it out. I think getting both makes sense overall. Again, thanks for the great resource.
