Default How can I represent nursing skills?

There is no Nursing skill in GURPS skills, and in Recovery rule (in p.B423) it only emphasizes the role of Physicians. But I know the management for wards are responsibility of nurses, knew from my experiences when I was hospitalized because of a traffic accident (right tibia fracture).

1. Which skills do learn as a major skills of nurses in College of Nursing when nurses are trained?
physicians or srurgeons will learn Physician, Diagnosis, Surgery, First Aids, etc. and nurses will learn the similar skills. But what about nurses' major? I think nurses' major skill is different from the licensed skills of physicians.

2. Will making Professional Skill (Nurse) be a good solution? Then which tasks are able to do with that skill? "For physicians or surgeons to manage hospitalized patients they need nurses who have Professional Skill (Nurse) at 12+" will be a good solution? And Which tasks will the nurses be able to do with their Professional Skill (Nurse) skill?

This questions are made for me when I was making my university starships. When I established the College of Medicine in my starship I made a question that "how can I represent College of Nursing in my university starships?".

Nursery refers to the caring of young children, I believe you mean nursing. In the case of RNs, they would likely have Physician (General) at 12+ and Diagnosis and Pharmacy (Synthetic) at 10+. Psychiatric nurses would instead likely have Psychology (Clinical) at 12+ and Pharmacy (Synthetic) and Physician (Psychiatric) at 10+. In either case, their job would be Comfortable Wealth and support Status 1.

The Bio-tech template have Physician-12 and Diagnosis-10 as requisites for the job,

Primary Skills:
Physician/TL

Secondary Skills:
Diagnosis/TL
Diplomacy (H)
Electronics Operation/TL (Medical)

Add Administration for the senior ones.

For a Paramedic/EMT nurse, reduce physician and add driving/piloting and First-aid

And depending on the nurse career path and personal interests, add a few background skills chosen among : Body language, psychology, Biology (Biochemistry), chemistry, physiology, administration as noted above, teaching, ...

I wouldn't give them pharmacy : at high-TL, that's the skill of preparing drugs under laboratory conditions.

If you feel the need , you can specialize : physician(nursing) but Physician is already the skill of taking care of a patient.

Ah I found it. Well, a nurse has Physician skill that a physician has, too.

Yep. Nurses are basically General Practice doctors with less formal/academic training.

But a nurse can't do Diagnosis and Therapy that a physicain or surgeon do... these are a licensed tasks that is allowed only for a doctor...
at least in Korea.

In Korea, there is an accident that a doctor who ordered his nurse to do endobronchial anesthesia is accused and his license is suspended for 3 months.
Below is the news (written in Korean).

Nursery can also refer to the growing of plants. This could be useful in a health care setting, especially at low TL.
