Re: What you can do before you die...
Beggin' your pardon, but I wouldn't call that being a perfectionist. You're trying to make the rules make sense in Real Life - but it's just a game; some of the rules are arbitrary, and that's okay.
Really, just follow the rules as written, and most of the time you'll be just fine. |

I believe he was asking about the window between Losing A Fight (and thus taking hits) and Rolling to Running Away.

Re: What you can do before you die...
So how about the answer to that follow up question?
I feel like the more I think about it the more I know the answer... if you don't have cards that can prevent the critters (monsters) from sending you to the great beyond (dying)... then you become a cadaver (die)! You'd first have to survive the battle, play your bad (curses/enhancers) cards, then try to run away!

Re: What you can do before you die...
I answered it! It was my answering the follow up that I was getting chastised for because it didn't appear that I was answering the initial question.

Re: What you can do before you die...
Once you roll the dice to Run Away, you're committed to the results. MQ doesn't allow for grand dying gestures like throwing your last curses into the air as you fall.
If you die for another reason (running out of health, for instance), you die RIGHT THEN. There's literally no "I'm dying but I'm not dead yet" window to work in. And since this IS the final word on the subject, I'm closing the thread.
