Re: The Mark VI Survey Awards
"There's nothing out there that's 100% canon; most of what we know about it came from GURPS Ogre. It was an Israeli cybertank, kind of a cross between a III, a IV, and a Drone or Infantry carrier [sources over the years have listed one or the other]. "
"The Golem was first mentioned in an old Space Gamer article, if I remember correctly. This was expanded upon in GURPS Ogre, where it's noted as having 1 MB, 3 SB, 10 AP, 3 missile racks, and 9 internal missiles, plus storage space for drones. In one of the prototype Assault Packs - which are non-canon unless and until published - the drone space is changed to carrying infantry." Gentlemen, Thanks for such quick replies & quality info. Looks like there is a copy of GURPS Ogre in my W23 crate. I know i should also buy the Space Gamer bundle, and I will at some point, but I had an emergency playmat purchase and have a MK VI / DOPP KS shortly. Plus, someone is threatening to announce additional playmats in the near future... My poor gaming budget looks like Rocky getting pummeled by Clubber Lang. Anyway, thanks again, erik |

Re: The Mark VI Survey Awards
Hey, quick question for the devs: will the Mk. VI and Dopp be the same size as the original models, or will they be up-scaled as we discussed in a previous thread?

Re: The Mark VI Survey Awards
The Dopp's scale was pretty much spot on, so it is being left as is. The Mark VI is planned on being a bit larger to fit in the lineup more appropriately.

Glad to hear it! That was a lot of fun, playing around with the numbers, and I'm glad some good came out of it.

Re: The Mark VI Survey Awards
So how long until this KS campaign kicks off? I know you have to complete TFT first ... but where might it be in the overall schedule?

Re: The Mark VI Survey Awards
Ah, the sublime dance of juggling schedules!
We are as eager as you to move this forward but many factors, including a number outside of our control, are in play here. I promise that I will announce it far and wide once we can nail down a time. I know you are a faithful follower of Ogre News. Patience, grasshopper. Good things come to those who wait. <grin> D. (Seriously - we want to move forward ASAP too!) D.

Re: The Mark VI Survey Awards
With TFT and Dragon Dice running this month on Kickstarter, I'm happy that the Ogrelets campaign got postponed!
