Simple question about crossbows and Missile Weapons skill

What do you mean it add to DX and ST? Pg 122 says +2 to DX when the crossbow is braced on a support. And at ST 8 he would have an additional -4 DX due to low ST. Net is -2 DX only when braced. Not sure how that is "even DX". For that matter, I don't know what you mean by "even DX".

It would be ST 8 +2 for braced is ST 10, therefore a -2 DX.

Then add +2 DX for braced and you get net DX adjustment of zero.

That sounds a bit fussy for my tastes. I simply say that braced or mounted crossbows have the same ST requirement as using a cranequin, so you can load and fire any medium or heavy crossbow if your ST is 8, although the fact that this takes forever to really accomplish is probably why I've never had any player decide they wanted to take advantage of this rule.

No; I think the rules only imply +2 to adjDX.
