Default Difference between Geas Hook and Inactive Geas?

Hi everybody,

after reading the Geas-section in "Superiors: Lilith" I've got a question:

What's the difference between a Geas Hook and an Inactive Geas? Could somebody please explain it?

Thanks in advance,

M.

This is from memory, but to the best of my memory a Geas Hook means that the Lilim has done something for you that met a need and can try at some point in the future to make you do a favor for her. The catch though is that you get a roll to resist it and if you succeed she gets dissonce for it- if you fail the hook becomes a Geas. A Geas on the other hand you can do something- don't remember if it's a roll or what to resit for a time, but in the end you will have to do it. Then an Inactive Geas would be someone that went into the situation knowingly and agreed to some kind of favor- either specified or not in the future in return for what she was doing. The Geas is there and can be seen in celestial form, but until it is called in there is nothing to resist.

A Geas-hook is produced by fulfilling a Need. The subject may resist a follow-up request from the Lilim. Failing to resist this request produced an active Geas, in which the subject must obey a command or suffer the Dissonance or damage consequences. An inactive Geas is produced by voluntarily foregoing the possibility of resistance, by agreeing to repay the Lilim's favor at an unspecified future date. The Geas is not presently active and compelling any behavior, but when called upon there will be no resistance roll permitted.

Ayup, that. Does the Lilith PDF need errata to add any data? (I am a little strapped for time at the moment, so if someone else could search, that'd be good...)

Shamelessly adding Superiors: Lilith, GURPS Sparrials, and her fiction page to her .sig (the latter is not precisely gaming related)
