Default Throwing axe help

Dumb question. If I throw an axe, is that swing damage also? Or thrust? Thx

Thrust. I think there are only one or two ranged weapons that use Swing damage.

Actually, thrown axes do swing cutting damage (Unmodified for hatchet, +2 for throwing axe). And thrown non-throwing axes also do their normal damage (But you must make attack roll at -4)

Axes are among them. It says so right on the weapons chart.

Bolas are also sw damage IIRC, boomerangs and thrown maces definitely are. Slings and atlatls are swing damage.

*Double checks Atlatls* Well then, my Super Throw dude with an atlatl seems a bit more viable now!

Thrown sw/imp is among the rarest types, for physics reasons Kromm explains at the linked thread.

Pretty sure Super Throw doesn't help with atlatl.

I asked about it long ago. Super Throw works with spear throwers and other weapons that are just adding a lever to your throwing motion, but, not with slings or similar weapons.

I don't see how it would work with atlatl and not with sling...

With an atlatl, you're still using a throwing motion. Slings use different mechanics entirely.
