Default Disney Muchkin - Hakuna Matata

We have some questions about this card. The card says +5 to Monster at the top, but the description says "it means no worries! Play this card during any combat. The player facing the monster(s) discards them all and draws two treasure cards immediately."

We have two question. Is it a +5 to monster or do you not fight the monsters? Also does the disney magic "draw three treasure cards instead" apply to the person that played it one the player who was facing the monsters assuming they are different?

Misprint on the "+5 to Monster" title. You do not fight the Monster(s).

Thats kind of what we thought but didn't want to assume it was a mistake.

The player whose Combat it is would get the Treasures.

Would this be the same for the magic rose card? It says +4 Bonus On your turn roll the die on a 1 go through the door discards and suffer the effects of the first curse you find.

Upon further investigation to your question, the "Magic Rose" card gives a One-Shot +4 Bonus, yet the card's intent seems to be a 1 and 6 chance that the "Magic Rose" withers away, like in Beauty and The Beast. Therefore, the player who is in Combat would suffer the effects of the first Curse! card found. If the "Magic Rose" card was intended to be a Curse! card, the chances of it affecting the player would be a much higher probability.

Hakuna Matata is not supposed to be a monster enhancer, Magic Rose and Magic Carpets aren't supposed to be one-shots.

If "Magic Rose" and "Magic Carpet" are not suppose to be a One-Shot Item then what are the cards suppose to be?

Items. Magic Rose is supposed to be a powerful item you can use, but risk losing. I didn't write Magic Carpet but it seems that was likely the same intent. Because they don't take up slots, they have drawbacks.
