Small Particles with TK

If you have TK or TK [Magnetic] and you wished to pick up very small items, such as dust or iron specks in an area, can you do that?

I see the tech of Mass Grab, and that is everything in an 2 yard area for -7 to skill. So would that be "all sand in a 2 yard radius" for a -7 to skill? Or should you take Area Effect on your TK instead, such as Area Effect 2 yards? This way its at no negative to effect all items in that 2 yards, and only needing to use the tech if its outside that 2 yards?

In this option, if you wished to pick up all tiny stones in a 4 yard radius, the first 2 yards of all stones in that area are base, and then the next 2 yards would be -7 to skill. All the stones, maybe dozens and dozens of them all need to used in the same way.

Side question, if this was allowed, and the TK wanted to throw all 25 stones at a single person, how much damage is that per stone? If that ROF 25?

And what if she wanted to throw it all an area, such as using them to hit a crowd of people, how would that work?

GURPS High-Tech has rules for apportioning the kinetic energy of a shotgun among a lot of shot. That would probably fit fairly well.

You could use the bucket perk idea for this instead of Area Effect.
For attacks, I would lean towards alternative abilities, either purchased or as techniques using the power stunt and skills for everyone section in GURPS Powers.
