In Nomine: The noun
OK, now I know I haven't had enough sleep.
As I was glancing over the forums today, it suddenly occurred to me to wonder what the noun form for an In Nomine devotee is. Someone from Texas is a Texan, and someone from Colorado is a Coloradan (or Coloradoan, to some folks here). But what's an In Nomine fan? * An In Nominite? * An In Nomine-er? (pronounced NEIGH-er) * An In Nomineer? (like Mousketeer) * An In Nominan? * A member of the INer Circle? * The IN Visible? * Or just very, very strange?

Re: In Nomine: The noun
Right there with you.
Now my immediate thoughts... Sounds kind of weird, doesn't it? Like a chemical or something I keep thinking horses... Do we get the funny hats or wings? What is the required cutesy uniform? And don't even think of making me wear the short short plaid school girl uniform. I don't know how I feel about this one. It doesn't roll very well on the tongue That's a mouthful to say and type Sounds like a pro wrestling team or something Par for the course. Although I remember my college days when I was chased across the campus by the campus Christian club because I was wearing a pewter fantasy pin. It was of a sorceress and a snake. They said it was evil because it was of a woman copulating with a snake. I remember that I had to sneak around campus for two weeks because they would chase me and throw those mini bibles at me or they would spray me with holy water. When we get to that point then we can come up with some really interesting names. |

<chuckle> Not bad, but it sounds a little like we're claiming membership in the Tongs. Any other In Nominations?

Re: In Nomine: The noun
At the time (early to mid 90's) I went to a community college. Caerritos Community College, to be exact.
I like that. Simple and to the point. Only the people who are in the know would know what that means. |

"My fellow Nominees...." (shivers with delight at the pseudo-power rush)
Well, it's definitely better than my next thought: the "IN Greats." (Brain ... stuck .... in pun mode. Must ... refresh ... caffeine....)
