Re: [Campaign Inspiration] What surprising things are owned by royalty
Quote:
As for Wotan, back then the Wittanagemot, chose from what Scots call the "Derbfine", messing things up a little in that department. That is a precedent for the seventeenth century reclamation of Parliamentary Surpremacy in the incident of the Glorious Coup. In any event, the OFFICE of Her Britannic Majesty does not descend from either Wotan or Satan as it did not come to be until Britain had declared itself independent of the former and at war with the later, by virtue of naming her Defender of the Faith. The bloodline has gone through so many twists and turns that who can say. A couple of things it does not own: Royalty DOESN'T own the right to enter a poor man's cot, even though rain and snow may enter. Royalty does not own the right to turn back the tide even though it rules the waves.
