Default So ... any chance of Pocket GEV?

It looks like Pocket Ogre is out of print now.

What does that mean for Pocket GEV?

One of the main reasons I've given away 30 copies of Ogre Pocket Ed ;-)

Regarding Pocket GEV . . .

Yes, there is a decent chance that this makes it to light. Discussions are occurring as to the feasibility of this project. However, there are a number of hurdles to cross before we're putting this up on Warehouse 23.

First, there is no way we can sell this at $2.95. Pocket Ogre was sold at that price point as part of a promotional campaign. Pocket GEV will come in more around $10. Is this acceptable to everyone? It does not make sense to make a product if people won't buy it.

Second, do people want the 1st edition GEV with the incredibly basic map (not unlike the Pocket Ogre map) or would they prefer the full-color, glossy map of later GEV editions? This should not change the cost significantly.

The answer to both of these questions will go a long way to determining the feasibility of this project.

D.

PS - Thank you for supporting Ogre and buying up Pocket Ogre. It is this level of support that makes Pocket GEV even a possibility!

I prefer the old-school map.

You must be looking for answers from a lot more people than just the regulars who haunt the forum.

I intend to reach out to the KS backers via an Update too, but seeing as the question was asked here, it seemed like a good place to start!

I think most of you are familiar with the modern colored GEV map. Some of you are not aware of the first edition GEV map. With that in mind, please take a look at the attached image.

$10 seems reasonable. And I'd strongly prefer the full color map, it's gorgeous.
