Default Infinite Worlds & GURPS Action

What does anyone think about using GURPS Action for an Infinite Worlds campaign? I know it would be ideal for playing as ISWAT.

I'd say they're definitely compatible. You might need to tweak the Pulling Rank rules to account for the difference in tech, accessibility and organisation, but otherwise it should be a good fit.

Hmm.. Let's see, Cinematic Action involving battles on top of Ironclad Airships; fighting hordes of mummies on top of a pyramid in a world where the Aztec empire conquered all of America; having a gunfight against Wyatt Earp himself..

...Yeah, I think GURPS Action is definitely compatible with Infinite Worlds.

You'd probably need to give some extra points to the PCs if using the Action templates so the PCs knew the languages and possessed the survival skills that most I-Cops have.

Since I-SWAT is the catch-all group of very powerful people working for Infinity, you would also need to clarify if people could play more unusual characters than is standard in Action. GURPS 3e Dai Blackthorn's not a real issue in a Action setting-he was just a low-tech thief who could learn to use guns and new thief techniques for raiding higher-technology worlds. In GURPS 4e, Dai Blackthorn teleports. This is less of an issue of balancing characters and more of an issue of campaign style.

Plus, add in the soundtrack for the 1980 Flash Gordon Movie and it gets into all kinds of awesome!
