Tribes
Where I can get more info about this game? Is this a boardgame or it is an RPG? Does it need a GM? What is the minimum number of players? It requires any board? How long are the rules (pages)? Where I can get a preview? is it still for sale?

Re: Tribes
It's a schematic boardgame. Lots of tables and counter tracks.
The players each take on the role of a cave man. The goal is to have the most surviving children. (There are two winners, male and female.) Each turn you can hunt, gather, do crafts, or guard children. (You can do crafts while guarding children, but not as effectively.) Each of the four terrain areas the tribe can occupy has a different hunting and gathering chart. Hunting can get you a lot of food, or result in an injury. Craft items (spearheads, baskets) help in food gathering and storage. At the end of each round you decide who you want to make ook-ook with. Ook-ook sometimes results in a baby, who arrives two seasons later. Pregnant and nursing women can't hunt. That's about it. It's a lot of fun in the right situations. |

Re: Tribes
"Awk want spear! Awk word law!"
"Grep got eaten by the hyenas again?" (The Unix command line utilities and programming languages have some great caveman names. :)

Thanks, Paul, my search has begun.
Any hints on when the next edition will be out? |

Re: Tribes
It isn't on the schedule for the next few months, but beyond that things tend to shift around. "Answer hazy; ask later."

Re: Tribes
Well, over one year. I know Tribes isn't a priority, but it is still marked as "In production" and I would like very much to see it in print again.
Is there anything going on to make this happen? =D
