I was thinking about what a terrible design the original Doublecharge was, and decided to see how modern Car Wars technology might be able to improve it. It's still not great, but I think it's much improved, and might be pretty reasonable for a road car.

2056 Doublecharge: Luxury; Streamlining; Extra Heavy chassis; Heavy suspension; Large PP w/SCs, 4 Extra Cells, Overdrive; 4 Solid tires. Driver w/Body Armor. Universal 2s Turret T. Vulcan MG w/40xStandard in Turret, 1 Mag. Single-Weapon Computer. 144 pts. Sloped Plastic (F: 30 R: 24 L: 24 B: 30 T: 24 U: 12); 2x10 pt. Plastic Hubs F; 2x10 pt. Plastic Guards F. Cargo: 4 spaces, 175 lbs. Cost: $20,868, Wgt: 6,425, HC: 3, Top Speed: 97.5 (117.5), Accel: 5 (2.5).

I don't know how many dischargers you can put on a bike, but for $2500, you could do alot of damage. Good handling, speed, massive punch to the front (heh heh).

And accel goes to 10 after you fire off a rocket, or 2 dischargers!

Medium Cycle; Cycle chassis; Heavy suspension; Small Cycle PP; 2 Standard Radial tires. Driver. 2xHeavy Rocket, Armor Piercing; 5xPaint Discharger, Paint. Bumper Trigger. Cost: $2,500, Wgt: 811, HC: 3, Top Speed: 117.5, Accel: 5.

The Blaze of Glory - Div. 15 Van

Van, Standard Chassis, Light Suspension, 4 Standard Tires, Driver,
Large Power Plant, 8 Mini Rockets (3 Armor-Piercing Laser Guided); 4x Linked pairs that are Linked together Front, Sloped Armor (Standard Plastic): F45, R30, L30, B40, T0, U0. Accel 5, top speed 95.0, HC 0; 5680 lbs., $14985.

Set sights on a target, let loose. 8 AP mini-rockets hitting home in one salvo is sure to feel anything but cuddly.

Of course, it's something of a one-shot wonder. After your rockets are spent, you're nothing but a slow-moving target with mediocre armor.

"It ain't shootin', Jethro! It ain't shootin'! What's this dang thing here tryin' ta' tell us?"

" 'Laser lock not yet a-quire-ed'? Oh, dangit! Kletus, get the dang laser on 'em first!"

Except to those with enough metal armor.

It's extremely vulnerable to rams and needs to be kept far away from spikes and flame sources, but for a Division 5 it's not too bad.

Pest: Light Trike; Standard chassis; Heavy suspension; Medium Cycle PP; 3 Hvy Duty tires. Driver; Gunner. Micromissile Launcher w/20xArmor Piercing L; Micromissile Launcher w/20xArmor Piercing R; Junk Dropper w/10xDebris. Link. 52 pts. Plastic (F: 14 R: 11 L: 11 B: 10 T: 2 U: 4); 2xFake Hubs F; 2xFake Guards F. Cost: $4,830, Wgt: 1,599, HC: 2, Top Speed: 97.5, Accel: 5.

This, for example, is a design the Pest should fear.

Micronaut: Subcompact; Heavy chassis; Heavy suspension; Small PP w/PCs; 4 PR tires. Driver w/Body Armor. Rocket Launcher w/10xIncendiary. 70 pts. Plastic (F: 22 R: 13 L: 13 B: 14 T: 3 U: 5). Cost: $4,920, Wgt: 2,520, HC: 4, Top Speed: 90, Accel: 5.

Like the name - it was my nickname at school ! BUT unless the MML's were meant to have 10 shots each , your design is illegal ! With 20 shots , they'd need a magazine each and that would put 10 spaces of equipment into an 8 space trike ! Swap Gunner and MMLs for a single AP RL Left or Right , CA around Driver and JD and some extra armor . Leave $150 and 20lbs for a PFE - a must in a Div 5 FT happy arena !

I'm all but certain that it's 10 shots each; it was probably "2xMMLw/20" and later changed for clarity's sake.
