Default discarding

K so heres my question, when a card says to discard must the cards come from ones hand or may it come from the table? (i.e. equiped cards or cards in your bag.)

Example: ranger discarding to tame a monster.

Default Re: discarding

Unless it specifically specifies a location, the discard can come from your hand or the table. The Monster Tamer ability of the Ranger does not specify a location.

An example of a Class card that does provide a location is the Cleric, who must discard cards from his hand when using Resurrection. Although a Cleric can discard from his hand or from the table when using Turning.
