Switchable reputation.
Let's assume that somehow, you are someone with a +4 Reputation but, due to ultra tech or magic, people don't know who you are in everyday life until you flash your status. Like you've got an unfalsifiable quantum chip that identifies you as a war hero/special agent whose acts in the field everybody knows about but cannot attach a face to, or you identify yourself as the top hacker ever by mentioning your latest high profile hacks and information only the hacker would both know and share...
Would that count as a switchable reputation? You won't tip your hand too early by being swarmed with groupies and rumormongers, but if you need to convince a specific person to help you and your reputation might be a boon, you can "flash" it like a badge, but thn again, if you don't flash it, you may miss opportunities... |

Re: Switchable reputation.
Well, it's a Reputation that affects almost everyone, but a very low frequency of recognition (presumably a few people recognise you) and a special effect that you can add people to the set of recognisers deliberately. I'd class that as equivalent to a "recognised about half the time", so it's worth [5] for +2.

Re: Switchable reputation.
But you can choose to use whenever you want. So it can affect everybody, and, being under the player´s control, will affect everybody whenever he wants. So IMO full cost. And as he can also not use it when desired, as to avoid fans or attention for example, this makes it even more powerful than the straight version. So IMO full cost + Switchable.

Re: Switchable reputation.
If you use it on Person A, then turn it off, does Person A forget about or no longer care about your Reputation?
