Chez Geek rules
My friends & I were playing chez geek the other day & had a little confusion about some of the card rules. Do the "Allergies" & "Visit from the Parents" cards affect all players or just the one player you intend to play it on?

Re: Chez Geek rules
It depends on the exact wording of the card(s) in question. If a card says "everyone" or "all roommates" then it affects all players; if the card says just "that player" or "the player" (or similar phrasing), then it affects just that one player.

Re: Chez Geek rules
so allergies states that it's -1 slack for each pet, I'm assuming that means if you have 2 pets that means it's -2 slack for you.
with "visit from the parents" it doesn't specify who it targets, just says "discard all booze & weed cards", would that mean everyone discards them? |

Re: Chez Geek rules
I do not have my cards with me. So I'm going from memory...
I'm fairly certain that "Allergies" gives the affected player a -1 Slack for every pet in the entire apartment (i.e. NOT just the pets in his own room). Only one player suffers from the "Allergies" card, but he takes -1 Slack from all the pets, everywhere... Also, in general (including both of the cards you referenced), the default is just one player is affected. Thus, only the player chosen would discard all Weed and Booze from the surprise visit from his mom and dad... Hope this helps.
