Default [Magic/DF] Armor of the Chaste Maiden and Armor of the Celibate Maiden

These two items where inspired by the discussion I started on female spellcaster outfits and the names are a bit of a joke. These are primarily aimed at DF games that want to simulate the genre convention of women running around in skimpy outfits, now there's an explanation! Now I believe that these are mechanically valid but check with your GM first. If they are mechanically valid without a genre waiver they can work in any setting that uses the Standard Magic system and the Armor of the Chaste Maiden can easily fit under any outfit, even proper armor, and provide it's benefit

The Armor's of the Chaste Maiden and Celibate Maiden where commissioned by a Cleric of Love who wanted something more 'feminine'. Since then they have become popular with female adventurers who favor finding solutions other then killing things, speed and dexterity or those exploring dungeons in deserts or other hot environments. It's also popular with those on a budget as a matched pair with the weakest enchantments provide comparable protection to a leather torso across the entire body for only slightly more gold ($120) and a fraction of the weight

Armor of the Chaste Maiden
This armor consists of an outfit comprised of matching ankle socks, graters, a g-string, half-cup bra, arm-bands or arm rings, gloves, a choker and a ruffled or lace head band.

Armor of the Celibate Maiden
The armor consists of an outfit comprised of matching shoes, graters, short skirt, crop top, arm-bands or arm rings, gloves, a choker and a ruffled or lace head band.

Because of the nature of these outfits of 'covering' the whole body when enchanted as armor any protections also cover the whole body, this is one of the chief advantages of these armors' as the they provide protection via enchantment while minimizing the chance that the enchanted object is damaged, lengthening the life of the enchantment.

These armors' may be purchased as a matched pair, in such cases they are design to be worn together and compliment each other. The socks can be seen poking out of the shoes and the garters, arm-bands, gloves, choker and head band of the Armor of the Chaste Maiden are larger then the corresponding items from the Armor of the Celibate Maiden, which are worn over them.

When a character is hit in a location, use this table to determine if one or both of the armors' where penetrated.

Code:
Location Chaste Maiden Celibate Maiden
Eye No No
Ear No No
Skull 1 in 6* 1 in 6*
Face No No
Jaw No No
Nose No No
Left/Right Leg 1 in 36*	1 in 36*
Left/Right Arm 1 in 36*	1 in 36*
Torso 1 in 6**	2 in 6**
Spine/Rear Torso	1 in 36*	1 in 36*
Groin 1 in 6 Automatic
Hand/Foot Automatic	Automatic
Neck Automatic	Automatic

* One roll determines if both armors' are hit
** Roll for Celibate Maiden, if hit, then roll for Chaste Maiden

Would 'graters' be a misspelling of 'garters,' or something I'm not familiar with?

Their armor is definitely inspired by Shredder.

Is that a house rule or are you getting it from a published book? If so which? AFAIK, Fortify just adds to the DR of a garment, but does not give any "force field DR" over areas not covered by the garment.

I just don't understand the game mechanics you are suggesting. The DF rules I have seen seem to have plenty of options for encouraging scantily-clad characters of all genders (although the lack of places to store potions and charms and loot will soon become a problem ... enchanted load-bearing equipment over bare skin?)

I don't know how to visualize these outfits nor see the logic behind the one being called "chaste" and the other "celibate".

You know, humor? That awfully subjective thing...

Think of the names as being ironic. :)

For Chaste Maiden think lingerie, really skimpy lingerie. For Celibate, think cheerleader outfit.

Pretty sure it's a house rule, and if in effect, the immediate obvious solution is to enchant a sash to wear under armor.

More likely simply a very liberal reading of the rule and possibly mechanically valid, and unlike the trick of getting a garrote enchanted with Deflect and claiming it protects the whole body I'm at least paying full price.

If that doesn't work for it could be a divine enchantment by Clerics of Love, or an actual enchantment of the Armor spell, M167
