Re: [DF] Adventure: The Dungeon of Puppies, Kittens and Baby Ducks
b-dog, sometimes your posts are a little "out there". Sometimes, they're so far "out there" that they curve around and become "right on point".
This is one such post. Awesome work man, can't wait to see more! :) |

Re: [DF] Adventure: The Dungeon of Puppies, Kittens and Baby Ducks
If the PCs attempt to open the door at the end of the room they will find that it is-2 to Lockpicking skill. The door is of average construction and made of wood (Lock/hinge 6DR/12HP; Door 2DR/29HP). The door will open easily but will squeak eerily. The door opens into a 30 foot hall way made of rough stone and an arched ceiling covered in cobwebs. The hallway leads to a 30 by 20 foot room and in the center of the room in a tiny nest made of twigs and other loose material. In the nest sleeps a tiny baby bunny whose doe like eyes will open wide as the PCs approach. The baby bunny will hop clumsiliy toward the PCs

This power forces a Contest of Skills between the characters Will and the baby bunnys’s Fluffiness of 22. If the baby bunny wins then the character will feel that the baby bunny is too cute to kill and will end up petting it holding it so it's soft fur touches their faces. Within the nest are 16 saphires (1000 gp each) But on closer inspection the PCs will see three skeletons strewn on the floor. Each skeleton has it's hand out as if to pet something.... All PCs must make a Fright Check or be overcome with terror. To be continued… Last edited by b-dog; 10-31-2009 at 11:23 AM. |

Re: [DF] Adventure: The Dungeon of Puppies, Kittens and Baby Ducks
Oh no, I have.
Now here I was thinking that you'd created this thread to mock the advice that we've all spent our hobby time trying to give you over and over with an absurd Chance To Survive = Fighting Fluffy Bunnies strawman, but this one is actually well done because they have a chance, however slim, to notice the deadly trap before it springs. It's that element of chance that makes it fun for the players - That's why these games use dice. |

Re: [DF] Adventure: The Dungeon of Puppies, Kittens and Baby Ducks
If the PCs attempt to open the door at the right side of the entrance room they will find that it is-3 to Lockpicking skill. The door is of average construction and made of wood (Lock/hinge 6DR/12HP; Door 2DR/29HP). The door will open easily and noiselessly The door opens into a 15 foot hall way made of rough stone and an arched ceiling covered in cobwebs. The hallway leads to a 20 by 15 foot room and in the center of the room is a gleaming suit of golden magical plate-mail armor that is standing upright. (Armor provides DR10 and weighs only 20 lbs) Upon further notice the PCs will spot a baby roach crawling upon the armor.
ST: 1 HP: 1 Speed: 1.00 DX: 1Will: 1 Move: 1 IQ: 1Per: 5 HT: 1FP: 1SM: -6 Dodge: 5 Parry: N/A DR: 0 [B]Cuteness(0)see below*extra special** Traits: N/A Skills: crawling-15 Class: Baby Animal Note: Will try to protect magical suit of golden armor by using Cuteness. This power forces a Contest of Skills between the characters Will and the baby roaches Cuteness of 0. Most likely the PCs will overcome the Cuteness because the baby roach is not very cute. But if the baby roach is killed then the party members must make a Will roll at -5 or be overcome with guilt due to the superficiality of what they consider cute and the fact that they just kiled a baby animal. If the PCs fail then they must perfom a funeral and then dedicate the suit of golden magical armor as a grave marker and leave the room. To be continued... |
