Default ogre CGI meshes

I was reading on http://members.shaw.ca/k-slacker/OGRE.htm that Denis Loubet had some digital models for Ogre on his http://www.io.com/~dloubet/ web page. SJG has taken down his website there and I was wondering if anyone knew where I can get meshes for Ogre models?

I want to do some original Ogre 3D art for a story I was thinking of writing.

io dot com ain't what she used to be... https://www.io.com/

While I have no evidence as to the fate of the page you linked, I would doubt it was SJG that "took it down"... (but as always, I'm willing to be wrong)

Looking at the wayback machine, it doesn't look like there's anything helpful there. Loubet's page had pictures of the models, not mesh files (and even the images are mostly gone).

I also find it unlikely that SJG "took the page down;" they were simply artwork. That page had been around for a very long time and appears to have died a natural death from not being active for a decade.

I checked Winchell Chung's website, and nothing that could help you. Sorry.

I didn't think this through the whole way, so it may not be a viable option, but maybe someone could make the meshes for SJGs, and then they could sell the files.

I would luv to be able to play around with stuff like that as well.

So many uses, like just posing for artwork or even animation.

By giving fans access to such things, they will come up with some surprising and profitable things SJGs could then use to sell, if they want,
otherwise it's OGRE FanMade art out in the wild that will also help it's visibility increase.
There is probably a whole nightmare of legal issues that would need work-out though, but it may be worth their while at some point.

Winchell Chung has some beautiful work on his site...just awesome stuff.

He's amazing. He made a model of the spaceship from my novel and he knocked it out in a day.

Assuming this doesn't break forum rules against self-promotion . . .

Torchship, a working-class hard science fiction adventure.

Well *I'm* not gonna complain to the staff. I like what little I've read, getting the hunted person on the ship. Buying!
