Re: I two-weapons skill parry your lightning bolt!
First, Lightning is a missile spell.
Defending is defined in ITL p.117 as "effective only against non-missile spells and attacks". The term "parry" is introduced in the paragraph to further explain what a "defend" is and how it works. It would seem better to replace the terms "defend" and "defending" with "parry" and "parrying" everywhere or replace the term "parry" with "defend" everywhere outside of the description of "defend" on p.117. Or just add a note after the first use of the "parry" term on p.41 (see Defending p.117) But going back to the definition of Defending on p.117, I'm having a hard time thinking of ANY spell that one should be able to "parry" or "defend" against. |

Short version: No, you can't parry a lightning bolt with your fencing talent!

Re: I two-weapons skill parry your lightning bolt!
Put this note in the Errata.
Two Weapons skill ITL p41 "(b) make a normal attack with one weapon and parry with the other. The second weapon acts as a shield to stop 2 points of damage from each attack." Lacks these restrictions on what sort of attacks can be parried from page 111: "The left-hand dagger, or main-gauche, acts as a shield to parry 1 hit per attack, from non-missile, one-handed weapons only, from your front hexes."
