I believe there was a discussion about this when Powers came out. As I recall, Kromm suggested it would be a +0% modifier to be able to remove body parts at will instead of being removed by cutting damage, or the +50% Cosmic modifier to have both.
I'm not sure whether the ability to attach to new bodies could be modeled by simply adding Cosmic to this advantage; I would think it would be more a specialized form of Possession. Edit: Here is the post. I had difficulty finding it, because I didn't spell "independant" correctly in the post title. Shame on me. It was not a ruling by Kromm, but a suggestion by naloth. Thanks for the suggestions all! Here it is, the new and improved....
Spooky Detachable Head!!! [50] IT:Independant Body Parts [26] Detachable Head, +15% Head Only, -30% Nuisance Effect: Body is inanimate with head removed -50% Maximum Duration (Up to 1 hour), -10% After one hour, the power ends, if your head is still unattached, it's like being decapitated. AKA, dead. Cosmic (Can attach to other bodies), +50% Removable at will, damage to neck still hurts, 0% Extra Basic Speed +5 [20] Only for your Head -80% Clinging [4] Head Only -80% As for the advantage, it works a bit like this. As an act of will, you can remove your head from your body. It then can run around on tentacles at a move of 5 and attach itself to any headless body. As a side bonus, it can walk on walls and ceilings. After an hour, the head will drop dead from lack of nutrients/magic mojo/superscience goo, etc. During this time, your body is inert and useless. On the plus side, you take no damage from your body being injured. If you do attach to another body, it is assumed to have the same physical stats as your original one. The fact that you get a new healthy body is balanced by you having to steal a headless corpse. Your mismatched head and body make you look rather freakish as well. |

Attack of the Whirling Wind [75]
Extra Attack 4 (Multi-Strike, +20%; All-Out, -25%; Single Skill, -20%) [75] With what seems a single motion of your favorite weapon (choose which!) you can deliver a storm of full-strength blows against your adversaries. Using this ability requires an All-Out Attack manouever. You make five attacks, one of which can be a Rapid Strike or a Dual-Weapon Attack, and you can move up to half your Movement; however, you have no active defense until your next turn. Use this ability carefully.

When fighting large beasties, like Krakens, use your Ninja luck to insure that that beasty goes down! Kill for fun and profit. Afterwards, wail on your guitar, which is by the way, included in Sneaky Assassin Stuff... EDIT: Ninjaness powers are a 0% modifier. Nothing can stop or interfere with Ninjaness.... NOTHING!!! |
