Default Dead Giveaway Card in ZOMBIE

Huge dilemma-

I pulled a Dead Giveaway Card in Munchkin Zombie. The card allows you to give a card to each player while in combat for +5 bonus.

The issue is that the card does not state it is a (Usable only once) card. So am I allowed to hold on this card until I'm forced to discard it? Or, must I discard it once I have used it.

It's a Door card, and not of any special type (i.e., not a Mojo, Curse, etc. with special instructions in the rules), so you should normally discard it after use. You would only keep it in play if it gave you a permanent combat bonus or it said to keep it in play. Only Items (which are usually Treasures) require the "Usable Once Only" phrase to determine if they should be discarded after use or not. Some non-Items cards do use the phrase, but it's not a necessity for them.

This is what came up;

Player plays dead give away, gives 1 of his 2 cards away.

More stuff pile up for the monster so he needs more CS

He wants to use it again and give his last card away for a +5

A.) I personally feel that since he used the card and choose to only get 1x +5 that card is done.

B.) Others said he is playing it strategically and is allowed to get another +5.

I dont view this card like a piece of gear. It seem like a 1 shot

Here's the way I look at it. On the one hand, the card doesn't say you have the option of spacing out the giveaways as you need them. On the other, we have ruled that other abilities (such as the Cleric's +3 against Undead) can be spaced out as needed. On the third hand, those tend to be Class/Race-type abilities where you aren't playing a new card, like Dead Giveaway, that will be discarded after you exhaust the effect.

So. Where I land right now is, you have to give away all the cards when you play Dead Giveaway and you can't come back later to "finish the job." But I can see a counterargument and I'd listen to someone who wants to treat it more like an option that's open until you run out of cards or the combat is over.
