[MH] Any more news on GURPS Monster Hunters 6?

Early in 2016, official sources mentioned that PK had just finished his first draft of GURPS Monster Hunters 6: Something Awesome Not Yet Revealed. Has there been any news since then, I wonder?

I know at least one person who is eager to buy it... :)

There is an "Unofficial" upcoming GURPS products speculation thread over in the Warehouse 23 Digital forum which has links to the most recent information on all known upcoming products, including MH 6.

Thanks for the response, Eric. Yup, I'm well aware of the "release and speculation" thread (and grateful to those who keep it updated!). I was just prodding to see if anyone had heard anything not mentioned there, or if perhaps some further news might be forthcoming...

I wouldn't hold your breath. PK and Kromm, peace be upon them, have both had rough years outside of GURPS — note that MH6's first draft was "almost done" in January but not actually finished until October, and Kromm's been doing yeoman service just to get the DFRPG out the door.

I'd bet PK's Monster Hunters 6 is still behind Riggsby's just-as-long-in-the-chute ¿DF Treasures 3? (my guess), Masters' probably-production-reviewed Steampunk 2 (¿Tech & Gear?), Vortisch's now-playtesting Tactical Shooting: Extreme Conditions, and maybe even Stoddard's now-first-draft-reviewed Fantasy volume. So that puts it, when, about October, assuming hidden projects, the DFRPG titan, or other production bottlenecks don't push it further back?

Put it on your Christmas list. :-)

I think the DFRPGPBGBS (Dungeon Fantasy Role Playing Game Powered By GURPS Boxed Set) is currently filling the role of Ogre Kickstarter. Once it is out the door and the "did we forget anything" checklist is all filled out, I suspect we'll have a new happy time of content releases and progress announcements that were just waiting for the correct people to have single digit days worth of work to do each week.

Behind the scenes peek: MH6 is currently stalled due to peer review suggesting that one chapter needs a bit of an overhaul. It's not that this is an insurmountable problem, mind you! But it's just big enough that finding the time to tackle it has been somewhat tricky lately. Even with the DF RPG being sent off to print, we're still hip-deep in the minutia involved in such an undertaking, and there are some other big deals happening behind the scenes (e.g., getting GURPS Mars Attacks released electronically, which was non-trivial). I promise that MH6 is on my radar, though, as I relish any opportunity to see my adorable little series grow.
