Default Nuances of Unbalanced Weapons

An unbalanced weapon cannot be used to parry and attack in the same turn.

But . . .

Within the same turn, can you use an unbalanced weapon to:
  1. Parry a second time.
  2. Attack a second time (using for example All-Out Attack Double or Rapid Strike).

Yes to both. Just not some of each.

The theory is that the stance and grip for the weapons allow one but not the other. I'll save speculation on whether this has proper verisimilitude based on my battle-axe training to another topic, or my blog. Game-mechanically, it's a balance thing. Realistically, it's a good-enough representation that yes, the weapons that are top-heavy really are less nimble.

Awesome. Thanks for your quick response and the rationale.

You can just make some (or all) Dwarvern weapons to ignore this as you like.
