H&K Mark 23 handgun [High-Tech]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_Mark_23
Taking the base stats for the .45 H&K USP handgun from High-Tech, how would you alter then to reach the H&K Mark 23? |

Add a half-pound to the weight, $800 to the price and call it a day.
Any other differences are just bells and whistles, or below GURPS resolution.

Throw in an integral suppressor and laser sight, and give it match-grade ammo.

I can't imagine it doing more damage or being more accurate--the barrel length isn't really different, and it's still .45 ammo. (Is it .45 ACP?). The primary advantage is all the gizmos you can stick on it.

Sure, it can use ridiculously hot ammo without exploding, but how often do you really need that? It is supposed to be more accurate than the tactical, but I doubt it is enough for GURPS statline purposes.

Re: H&K Mark 23 handgun [High-Tech]
I figured a "match-grade" weapon would be one with Fine (Balance) in GURPS terms (adding +1 to Acc). Looking at the Wikipedia articles, the Mark 23 has groupings of 2" at 46 meters (50 yards), while the H&K USP appears to have a grouping of <4" at 25 meters. The USP measurement was shortly after lodging a bullet in the barrel, then clearing it by shooting another bullet, but the implication seemed to be that this had no ill effect. From that, it looks like the Mark 23 does indeed have a better Acc statistic.
Just make it a Fine (Balance) version of the USP, and note that laser sights, suppressors, and +P (high-powered) ammunition are commonly made use of.

Re: H&K Mark 23 handgun [High-Tech]
I definitely see your logic, but giving a pistol ACC 3 implies it is as accurate as an average SMG. I'm not sure it is that accurate.

Then again, some submachine guns are glorified handguns with an automatic fire mode.

The tiny members of the SMG table, like the Skorpion and MP5K do have ACC2, just like pistols.
