Re: Thief
0 times if the Thief or the target are in combat. If neither are in combat (but someone else is), then as many times as the Thief is willing to try.
From the FAQ: Q. Can a Thief steal something while he is in combat? A. No. He's preoccupied. Q. Can a Thief steal from someone else while THEY are in combat? A. No. They're preoccupied. Q. Can a Thief steal from someone while neither he nor his victim is in combat, but someone else is? A. Yes. |

Re: Thief
You can use theft as long as you have cards in play or in your hand to discard, and you or your target are not in combat. Exception: you can't discard your Thief Class. A Thief can steal when it's not his turn, but, again, not while in combat or from someone in combat.
