Boxing - Liver/Kidney Punch
How exactly would people here model this kind of attack? I've done boxing a while and a good hit to the liver (and the spleen if hit with any real force) will put someone down. In the case of a strong hit, it will rupture and split the organ causing internal damage. This isn't necessarily fatal, but is definitely enough to end a fight.
How exactly could this thing be modeled? I'd say "Targeted Attack/Vitals - Boxing punch" but it says targeted attacks can only work with impaling/piercing attacks. Now, I assume that it can just be assumed that 'damage' reflects this type of injury (eg 6pts of crushing damage to the torso == major wound and can potentially knock peoeple down/out (assuming they have average st/hp) But what if you actually want to do a punch that actually splits someone's liver or spleen? |

Re: Boxing - Liver/Kidney Punch
Maybe accept it as a part of the groin mechanic?

Re: Boxing - Liver/Kidney Punch
Crushing attacks can target the vitals per Martial Arts p.137.

Martial Arts, pg. 137.
You can make a crushing attack to vitals. Wounding Modifier is x1, but shock requires a HT roll for knockdown, at -5 if a major wound. |

....and triple damage is possible on a good roll on the Critical Hit Table. It would take a very strong and skilled boxer to force a death check but enough injury to make staying in the hospital for a couple of weeks a good idea is easier.
