Figures, just when I get the flu and spend the day in bed, RPM is released... and I missed it! Well, until now!

Thank you very much!

I would really, really want to see an alternate enchantment system. If there was any part of this release that felt underwhelming, it was the totally-not-gadgets enchantment system.

Was stoked to see there were rules for making your own grimoires, though, so that sorta counteracts that.

Also, would anything to do with effect shaping be among your projects?

Let me go on record with the following: I despise gadget items in 80% of circumstances. It feels too much like Hero...and I don't like Hero for many reasons. That said, this is one instance I do like such items - but I came up with something for my own campaigns that turned out pretty workable. So it'll probably see the light of day at one point.

Grr. stupid credit card company says been making too many purchases in too short a time and wont let me buy it :(
Oh well tomorrow.

Really looking forward to reading it.

EDIT:
Ok one went through waiting to see if I bought it twice by accident.
I had higher hopes for the Enchantment system too but its workable.
Main quibble is it did not really go over alternate paths as much as I had hoped.
Oh and Life Preserver made it but not the dream magic spells :(

So, if anyone here uses Facebook and wants to spread the word on a grassroots level, sharing this update might help more people convert to the holy word of RPM. :)

Omg, it's so fluffy I'm gonna die! Thank you finally!

That said, I agree that the enchantment system feels a little underwhelming. I, personally, dislike the gadget limitations in general. This incarnation wasn't to my taste, either, unfortunately. I'm still weirdly convinced the enchEntment rules from symbol magic can be mashed into rmp with minimal tweaking. Of course, this will stray from the "magic is never permanent" thing that permeates the system. I'm still trying to come to grips with that.

So basic Energy Reserve is not really worth it with this system, unless you have a Magery cap.

What are interesting Limitations for Energy Reserve which make it worthwhile again?

D&Desque campaigns might have 1/day (unfortunately I am away from my books and on't know what that would reduce it to.) Any other suggestions on how to reduce the cost to 2 or CP per level?
