Dice Rolling Programs
I got a new laptop for Christmas so of course I had to put a dice roller on it. And honestly I'm impressed by how bad currently available dice rollers are. I don't think it's too much to ask for a simple program that rolls 1d20 or 12d6, or 3d6 10 times. But once again I couldn't find one, I had to dig a program from 22 years ago out of a dying computer. just to roll some virtual dice. Are there really no modern programs that can do the job?

Re: Dice Rolling Programs
How fancy do you want the dice to be?
I know of a few online dice rollers. Discord has a bot named sidekick that's pretty good. I know of two online rolling sites with logs that I use for play by post, dicelog and rolz. And rpol's roller is pretty powerful too, if you have a dummy game you can roll in. my primary dice roller is inspiration pad from nbos. Which doesn't come with dice tables, but it takes like 20 seconds to write the dice table you need. Code:
Table: 3d6Roll {3d6} none of these are really "pretty", but they're all powerful and functional.

Re: Dice Rolling Programs
I use an Android dice app for my phone: RPG Simple Dice. Simple interface, does all the multiples of dice with addition. Keeps a history for me. Don't know if there's a PC version.
It seems to hate me as much as my regular dice do, but when it decides to love me, it seems to love me more than my regular dice do. (Same number of failures, same number of successes. But the successes are higher. Anecdotally.)

Re: Dice Rolling Programs
If you just want a die roller that doesn't look pretty but can do just about anything you want to do, go to anydice.com, define whatever die algorithm you want, change view to the roller, and roll.

I've just been playing with JavaScript, and https://tekeli.li/js/dice.html may be of some use. (All contained in that one file, so you can download it and use it offline.)

I use https://rolz.org/ for all my dice rolling needs. Unless I'm looking for probabilities and then I go to https://anydice.com/.

Re: Dice Rolling Programs
pseudobot for discord is a gurps dice bot. You can roll any dice you want but the default is 3d6. It also understands opposed rolls and margin of success and other gurps specific rolls.
