List of Superiors with and without expanded writeups
Included next to each superior are notes on where their write-ups can be found, if any. I think I've got them all, but I invite comment and corrections - I don't own these books, I put this together as a kind of buyer's guide. Hence, I may well be wrong.
I put this together so I'd know which books to get for details on which Superiors, information which will be crucial to me in the New year when I'll know whom my new group's characters are servitors of. Thanks to the In Nomine Character Encyclopedia for most of the data. Shame that place hasn't been updated in a while, really, because it's a fantastically useful resource. "Expanded" indicates the first larger writeup of the Superior, whereas "definitive" describes the lengthy write-ups of the "Superiors" series of books and PDFs. Abbrevaitons have been used for names of books: "S1" indicates Superiors 1, "FotM" is Fall of the Malakim, you know the drill (probably). Obviously, the core rules descriptions aren't included in the list. Archangels LIVING Blandine - expanded TM, definitive S3 Christopher - described NM, no definitive David - expanded FotM, definitive S1 Dominic - expanded H&H, definitive S1 Eli - definitve S:Eli Gabriel - expanded TM, definitive S3 Janus - none Jean - none Jordi - none Khalid - described TFT, definitve S3 Laurence - expanded NM, definitive S1 Litheroy - described "Feast of Blades" adventure, no definitive Marc - none Michael - expanded TFT, definitive S1 Novalis - none Yves - expanded H&H, definitive S3 Zadkiel - described H&H, no definitive DECEASED, DISAPPEARED, RUMORED, STATUS UNCERTAIN (Unnamed Archangel of Death) - none - possibly just a rumour? Oannes - none - dead Raphael - none - dead Uriel - none - recalled Metatron - none - dead, not sure whther Metatron counts as a superior, where does info on Metatron appear? Demon Princes LIVING Alaemon - described Feast of Blades, definitive S4 Andrealphus - definitive S2 Asmodeus - expanded H&H, no definitive Baal - expanded TFT, no definitive Beleth - expanded TM, no definitive Belial - expanded TM, no definitive Fleurity - described NM, definitive S4 Furfur - described NM, no definitive Haagenti - definitive S2 Kobal - expanded TFT, definitive S2 Kronos - expanded H&H, no definitive Lilith - expanded FotM, definitive S:Lilith Malphas - expanded TFT, no definitive Mammon - described H&H, definitive S4 Nybbas - definitive S2 Saminga - expanded NM, no definitive Vapula - definitive S4 Valefor - definitive S4 DECEASED, DISAPPEARED, RUMORED, STATUS UNCERTAIN Magog - described TFT? Is he canononically dead or not? Beelzebub - none - dead, killed by Uriel Gebbeleth - none - "vanished" Genubath - none - "vanished" Legion - none - dead Makatiel - none - dead Mariel - none - eaten Meserach - none - eaten Vephar - none - dead Whew! Certainly a lot of canononical Superiors. Last edited by Padre; 12-20-2005 at 11:43 AM. |

Re: List of Superiors with and without expanded writeups
Gabriel had her first extension in The Marches (along with Blandine, Beleth, and Belial).
Beelz, I believe, is canonically axed by Uriel; he certainly wasn't around when Legion got the same Word, IIRC. Must run get kid at school.

Re: List of Superiors with and without expanded writeups
We haven't announced them yet, but it seems likely.

Re: List of Superiors with and without expanded writeups
You know, if no one has suggested it yet ... I don't think the dead/gone superiors need full writeups, but I could really see a use for a 2 page (or so) writeup of each superior, then fill the rest of the pdf with some sample servitors, lots of background information about what happened to them and why, and some kickass plot hooks (or even fullblown scenarios).
I'm thinking a format similar to the one WW used for Places of Mysteries (which is an awesome book of scenario ideas). The idea is that anyone who seriously wants to flesh them out and use them as living superiors is in non-canons-ville, but that doesn't mean their legacies don't live on in some way. |

Re: List of Superiors with and without expanded writeups
When the books were deadtrees, IIRC we had a couple of "maybe someday" books:
9: Archangels of Mysteries (Oannes, Raphael, Uriel, maybe Death?) 10: Dead and Missing (Genubath, Gebbeleth, Vephar, Mariel, Meserach, Beelzebub, Makatiel) -- only spelled right. I think I blanked on Sloth, in particular. I hope I remembered those Working Titles correctly... Now the "maybe someday" depends on how well the e23 materials do -- especially anything that's not a major Superior. But I've had the thought of historical In Nomine material for some time now. (A long discussion in the car about how the Game was probably much better at catching Renegades before the technological transportation revolution has sparked interesting thoughts in my mind, even now!) Which isn't to say not to talk 'bout it. I'll just be over here nodding sagely.
