When: The Present. This world within a decade or so, although mild alterations and glazings allowed to make it easier to run so technically an alternative history world.

Origins: One Origin, but with a few different flavours. Ie, a singular event/effect causes the powers, but not all powers interact on the same plane, allowing some variety and variance between power sources - even if they all share the same common 'root', as it were.

I've amended my vote on origins. I started to think of characters I like, and character concepts, and decided that 'many' would be a better fit.



Nearly anything set in the past would be fun, IMO, but in think that the 1980s would be the best.

2. A) One single origin. Wild Cards is the only superheros setting I totally like. As an idea on origins, a mysterious dimension and regular dimension suddenly merges.

I a many origin universe their is no rhyme or reason to the causes of supers origins. It just happens.

In a FEW TYPES Universe. Either their are broad general patterns or a small number of cliques or powers is behind it all.

I had a FEW ORIGINS WORLD where most of the Gods had died. Brigid, ruling in the North, used the fires of poetry, smithcraft, and surgery, to purify the world through the Sword. Osun, in the South, she who is honey, she who is cool water, she who is brass, she who is the next number, wielded the Cup. In the west Quetzelcoatl, who traded his ancient robes for red and white striped toursers and coat and a blue vest covered in white stars, who has traded his great calender for the Great Seal of the United States of America, holds the Coins. And in the East, Indra rides the storm clouds, his spear is itself the Lightning, the Wand. Anubis laughs, and it sounds like insane howling, the Prince who is a thousand is the Joker of this world. But who is that in the shadows? Is that Athena, daughter of Zeus of the Agora, god of Democracy and Justice? What does the gaurdian of the Polis, the gaurdian of the place and rights of man seek in this madness.

As you see it was a Gods war. Each deity was a type of origin and a series of gifts and limits.

Many origins setting means that a few supers might have involved origins. A few origins world means that all supers could have involved origins.

So far the past has seven votes, the Present has six, and the future has one. What no love for the Leigon of Superheros?

One origin gets three votes, many origins gets two (combatmedic did change his vote), and Few Origins gets seven. Two didn't chose to vote.
