Anyone ever played as animals? Or would like to?

Re: Animal PCs
Animal-animals or sapient probably-talking fictional animals?
(The former, I don’t regard as feasible. The latter... I haven’t played, but I’ve run in demo games quite a bit. Mostly on the Discworld. One thing I’d observe is that you should insist on them being talking animals. Few players can handle playing mute characters.)

Re: Animal PCs
I want a cat!
But I don't think there would be much of a campaign, unless you're talking sapient and talking animals... There should be an RPG with mice or some other small animal that I don't remember out there, not my kind of game however! |

Re: Animal PCs
The classic Bunnies and Burrows is still available as a pdf, too.

Re: Animal PCs
Wasn't there a GURPS conversion of Bunnies and Burrows?

Re: Animal PCs
Yes, there was. It was a very early GURPS supplement.

Re: Animal PCs
And it, too, is available in PDF. It's done on the basis of rabbits having 10s in their attributes.

Re: Animal PCs
Oh, yes, we've had many games where one of the PCs (Hand of Bobb, oddly enough) has played an animal.
He played one based on a character that I'm not going to mention in case some innocent person decides to look into the character name (or the adult comic it came from). The character was hilarious as he continuously muttered, under his breath "don't look at me, I'm just a dog." He played Max Stingray, a battle-suit clad dog in Gummißear's Mega Denver game, where, when trapped on a space station, he corrected an obvious statement with "it's only cannibalism for you." Those are the two that most stick out (not counting any TMNT or TMNT-themed games). |

Re: Animal PCs
Someone around here ran a game where the solo PC was an assistance dog... can't remember who though, except I think it was set in Australia.
